| The development of cities performs a key role on development of human beings and the whole society. Urbanization is another important revolution after the industrialization. So the selection of urban construction's levels and forms plays a crucial role in the future expansion of the region and the country. However, the process of urban construction in China has shown some problems, such as urban sprawl, resource consumption, ecological imbalance, social conflicts, etc., which have severely played negative impact on the current quality of urban development, affecting the future development of the Chinese nation's living environment. Alongside with taking grant of all those factors above, new research is urgent on orientation and formation of urban development, which aims to seize the cherish opportunity of building the worldwide metropolis.According to previous research and practice on urban planning, "Eco-city" has been generally accepted and retrieves more focus, compared to Garden City, Green City and other urban forms. "Eco-city" is an artificial complex ecosystem, which is people-oriented, with reasonable structure, complete functions, and can repair and maintain itself, and it is in line with the concept of sustainable urban development and construction, it has led to the trend and mode of future urban planning. In the context of this study, based on complex adaptive system theory (with the acronym "CAS"), this paper emphasis on the issues occurred in the ecological city system construction. The structure of this paper is as follows. The first part of this article introduces the conception of eco-city system on the definition of ecosystem and the theory of urban metabolism. Then adopt viewpoints on dynamic evolution and "white box" method to define inner mechanism of the entire ecosystem, combining relevant theory and fruition in the corresponding field, in order to design the blueprint of eco-city system, which is convenient for improving the understanding of people on ecological city. The next part applies CAS theory and program to build up multiple agent-based computer simulation model of eco-city system and introduce how to realize the model with computer simulation technology. The model can simulates the growing process of eco-city system, achieves the target on dynamic control of life-cycle eco-city, and assists in planning, construction and operation of this idea, avoiding short-sighted policies in urban construction. The ultimate goal of this model is to realize urban sustainable development. In the last part, this paper sets up a CAS model based on the example of Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city. By evaluating features of this case, this paper makes policies and proposals for its construction and regulation, while it also validates the consequence and effect of the research in this paper. |
