With the development of the global economy and information technology, the modern service industry is becoming every country's kernel industry by its own advantages, the high-tech and related service system promote the further development of the modern service industry. The service system is the socialization technology system, providing the supporting platform for realization and delivery of service in the modern service industry. Service resource functions as the basic elements of service system, and the monitoring and scheduling of it makes an important part of service system management.As an important resource in the maritime logistics service, the management and scheduling of container effectively is one of the main business of shipping companies. It is the key approach of lowering the transportation cost and improving its utilization as well. Based on this background, the contents and innovative points of this dissertation included:Firstly, for the purpose of mastering and controlling the state of container at any time, it proposes the concept of used life cycle, which is formulated by the information accumulated through analyzing the feedback of some parties of the container transportation. Meanwhile, according to the historical information collection, ports'demand information of empty containers at any given time in a future would be predicted.Secondly, in consistence with the prediction of the demand of empty containers and the tracking information of empty containers, with the main influencing factors of allocating empty containers taken into consideration, it sets up the mathematic model of container allocation with minimum scheduling cost and maximum customer satisfaction as the goal. Then, it uses the genetic algorithms to formulate optimal scheduling program.Thirdly, in order to improve the efficiency of container shipping and shorten the waiting time of ships, the storage space allocation of container should satisfy the requirements of loading sequence. So, when the container returns to yard, according to the loading time and the situation within the yard, it sets up the mathematic model considering storage space allocation to arrange the space. However, in spite of the randomness of the container's arrival, it can not ensure the rationality of the container stacking through the optimization algorithm only. Taken it into account, the model of container re-handling problem with the least times of re-handling as the goal is proposed, after re-handling the container, the final state can satisfy the planned loading sequence.Last but not the least, based on the research of the points above and container transportation service in application, it designs and implements the container management and scheduling optimization in the maritime logistics service system. Then, it applies the theory points into this system to validate superiority.
