| After China's accession to WTO, there are unprecedented opportunities for Xinjiang's development and adjustment. The geographical advantage and abundant resources of Xinjiang lay a good foundation for the development of the export. It has become a hot issue that How to speed up the export trade development and industrial structure so as to promote the overall economic development of Xinjiang? This paper, by means of modern methods, analyzed quantitatively the relationship between exports and industrial structure in order to provide better reference for the economic development of Xinjiang.This paper is divided into three parts. Part 1, through literatures revisiting, the mechanism of between the export trade and industrial issues was analyzed. The results showed that there were strong interdependence between the evolution of exports and industrial structure. Part 2, a detailed description of the status of the study object was performed before the empirical analysis. Part 3, by Cointegration and Granger causality analysis, the relationship between the exports trade and changes in industrial structure was evaluated quantitatively over a period of three decades(1978-2008) in Xinjiang, which indicates the research findings and the results of theoretical analysis are in agreement.We thus concluded:1. there are the mutual and reciprocal causation between the export trade and industrial structure, and 2, it's important to speed up the development of tertiary industry and optimize industrial structure, which may contribute to promote the growth of export trade in Xinjiang.Based on the conclusions above, three countermeasures on the promotion of exports and industrial restructuring in Xinjiang are launched here:giving priority to choose and to develop the strategy of promoting trade through science and technology, to upgrade export structure for promoting industrial structure upgrading, and to use of foreign strategic change for promoting industrial structure upgrading. |
