The Research On Transformation And Upgrading Of Processing Trade In China On Post-crisis Era

With the continuous deepening development of our county's reform and opening up policy, the scale of our processing trade grows from small to large, it develops day by day and its proportion in China's foreign trade is getting bigger and bigger, and at the same time,it places a very important part in the process of our national economic development. On the one hand, the development of processing trade expands our exports, attracts more foreign investment, at the same time,it introduces advanced science and technology and brings in first-class management practices, thus, processing trade makes contribution to the progress and development of high technologies and promotes adjustment and upgrading of China's industrial structure. On the other hand, in our country,for most of the enterprises which do business on processing trade are invested by foreign companies, they are rich in capital, and bring in advanced technology, this will do good to the development of the whole technology level of processing trade industry, and then it will be a powerful impetus for the restructuring and upgrading of China's processing trade.The financial crisis which originated from America in 2008 sweeps the world. This crisis makes serious impact on almost all the countries in the world, especially hit the economic development of Europe and America, this makes a sharp fall of China's foreign trade; At the same time, the pressure of RMB appreciation caused by the continuous surplus in our foreign trade for a long time is increasing further, which combined with the growth of trade barriers caused by the prevalence of new international trade protectionism, which has brought adverse effects on our weak processing trade. As the domestic and international condition is changing, A lot of new factors occur which will be encountered by the transformation and upgrading of processing trade in China.This paper begins with defining the related concept and analyzing basic theories of processing trade, take an overview of the status and existing problems of processing trade in China, and then elaborate the constraints both in home and abroad to the transformation and upgrading of processing trade in the post-crisis era, in the last part, on the basis of learning from other countries'experience, I give a number of advices from the perspective of government and enterprises to speed up transformation and upgrading of processing trade.
