Evaluation And Strategy Of Port Logistics System In Jiangxi Province

With the depth of economic globalization and the rapid development of China's opening up, the port plays an increasingly important role in the national and regional economic development and foreign trade. The improvement of port logistics system as a whole will continue to promote regional economic development and amplify the radiant function and the combined effect of the port area as well as enhance the competitiveness of port region's economic development. In view of the port development in Jiangxi province concerning overall economic and social development, researching port logistics system in Jiangxi province has a profound impact on the development of logistics industry and economic promotion.Port logistics system at home and abroad has been devoted mostly on the qualitative theory, while the empirical research on port logistics system is scarce.Also little information is available to draw upon on a comprehensive evaluation system of the port logistics for the convincing quantitative evaluation.In this paper, logistics system theory is taken as the basic principle and idea and the evaluation index of port logistics system is built. Port logistics development among the six central provinces is evaluated through the use of correlation analysis, factor analysis and cluster analysis.Then major influencing factors of the development level of port logistics are attained among the six central provinces.By comparing the port logistics system, the advantages and disadvantages as well as their differences are analyzed among the six central provinces.Then on the basis of factor analysis ports of the six central provinces are carried on cluster analysis.The results showed that:compared with other provinces, there are still a lot of port logistics inadequacies in Jiangxi Province.It is suggested that while Jiangxi Province improve the efficiency of port logistics system, it is also should expand the scale of port logistics reasonably. At the same time, customs clearance efficiency should be improved and the process of port informatization should be sped up,so that it can promote the development of big logistics port and pursuit common progress of economy and society. Therefore aiming to construct large ports, build large platforms and develop large logistics, this paper attempts to build multi-level, comprehensive, three-dimensional port logistics system in Jiangxi Province based on the above analysis and continues to explore the development potentiality of port logistics in order to promote economic growth of Jiangxi Province.This paper not only has probed the advantages and disadvantages of the port logistics among the six central provinces from the perspective of quantitative analysis, but also constructed multi-level, comprehensive and three-dimensional strategic layout of port logistics in Jiangxi Province.In short, some theoretical basis and reference will be provided for the development of port logistics system in Jiangxi Province.
