| Our financial companies of enterprise groups emerged to cooperate with"big companies and groups"strategy. As a non-bank financial institution which is industrial and financial combined, financial company is good connection industry capital and financial capital. Along with the development of the enterprise group, financial company is increasingly growing up from simple"deposit-loan"into all-round financial service pattern including centralized fund management,investment banking and financial advisers.How to evaluate and upgrade the performance of our financial companies of enterprise groups correctly and scientificly becomes a serious problem to solve.Our financial companies are generally lack of a complete set od performance evaluation system and method. Although financial companies mainly absorb deposits which are similar to commercial banks, the special properties and function of the financial companies set them apart from banking, insurance, securities and other financial institutions. Financial companies provide services to the enterprise groups ande members, not the whole society.However,the financial services of financial companies are comprehensive in accordance with the need of enterprise groups and members.At present,the pratice that financial companies mainly follow the example of commercial banks'performance evalution system and method is not scientific.The thesis aims to combining financial indicators and non-financial indicators to construct a set of suitable and comlete performance evaluatiom system for financial companies after analyzing the current situation financial companies of enterprise groups and the shortage of current performance evaluatiom system.Then the thesis makes use of various methods for empirical analysis and provides reference to improve the performance of the financial companies.Firstly, the thesis states the definition and function of financial companies of enterprise groups and the performance evaluation of financial companies. Secondly, the thesis analyzes the operating environment and current situation.In the whole our financial companies operate well,but the large difference exists among the industries.Thirdly,the thesis expounds the state-owned and state holding financial enterprises performance evaluatiom system of our country promulgated by China's ministry of finance, apply it to analyzing the performance of our financial companies. In the current performance evaluation system,the financial companies are regarded as the common financial institions.In the financial performance by accounting profit as the core,it ignores the function orientation and special service objects of financial companies.It lack of non-financial indicators to reflect the management and service function of financial companies,neglects combining the operation efficiency and operation result.Then, according to the shortage in the current evaluatiom method the thesis improves financial performance indicators and designs the non-financial performance indicators from group contribution, operational efficiency and learning and growth index, which combines the benefit and efficiency.Furtherly,the thesis selects 38 samples from 13 industries for empirical analysis based on the complete performance evaluatiom system,using the data envelopment analysis to measure the technical efficiency and scale efficiency of financial companies.Then,the thesis takes use of the entropy method to calculation the scores of financial companies,analyzes the main causes.The contrast between the score results and the scores in the current method finds out the current performance method makes higher performance score in the whole,so that the regulatory insitition and the management layer are difficult to grasp the performance of financial companies. The last part puts forward the countermeasures and proposals to improve the performance of the financial companies respectively from the financial and non-financial aspects in line with the analysis process and the empirical results. |
