Cost Control And Management Of The Construction Project

With the constant development of economic construction,the scale of various enterprises'investment projects is expanding constantly. With such an enormous scale of investment, a whole set of scientific methodology of engineering project cost management is urgently needed as a management method to ensure reasonable uses of project investment. In these cases, overall and efective project cost management must be implied to guarantee a smooth operation of the project construction.This dissertation analyses the status and the flaws in the management of the investment projects in current China. In addition, comparing with the every sections of the cost management including the section of primary decision, project designand construction during a whole construction project, the dissertation portrays both thetheories of cost control and the effective methodology in each section.Therefore the content includes the following sections:Firstly,basing on the reviewing of the historical development of the theories and practices of cost management in international and analysing the current condition of it, the author analyses the existing problems of the project cost management. Then the contents and targets of cost management in direrent stages of project are introduce, and the necessity of cost control through whole processes are explained. On the other hand the author discusses the measures and approaches of the cost control through whole processes. The paper elaborates its own views upon the main project process that heavily influences the project cost, such as investment decision stage, design stage, tender and bid stage, the project changes of construction process and the cost control of setlementst age. The discussion of the measures and approaches is an emphasis of the paper.Finally, the author discusses and analyses the performance of these cost control management separately in the actual project management through instance and also puts forward personal views and suggestions. And furthermore, this paper also introduces the idea of project assuring system and project insurance,which plays a role in casting a brick to attract jade for counterparts to discuss and research.
