The acceleration of economic integration and globalization process makes the constant changes of the business practices. With the application of electronic technology, information storage and processing technology, communication and network technology on the logistics, logistics becomes more and more important in enterprise competition. As a key part of the logistics process, warehouse is the place for supplies storage, the transit station and the center of logistic adjustment. On account of the increasing logistic activities, goods storage and frequency of warehouse-in and warehouse-out, the urgent task of enterprises is to effectively manage the warehouse and to properly apply the warehouse operation principles.The electricity industry has precedence in economic development. Although it plays an important role in promoting economic development, electricity industry has all along ignored the effect of warehousing management in improving the core competitiveness of its own industry. Taking a great type II power supply enterprise(Zhuzhou Electric Power Station) as an example, this thesis designs and implements a material warehousing management system for electricity enterprises which is aimed at the detail processes and industry characters.According to the instruction of system development principles, the system based on the normal pattern applies SQL Server for the backstage data management. And the system uses C/S architecture and takes Java and MyEclipse as the system development platform. The thesis has analyzed and designed the warehousing management system, and then defined and implemented the general architecture, database structure and function modules, and part of the interfaces and code are offered finally.The system will effectively manage the warehouse in the network environment and regulate the warehousing. The system has realistic meaning and application value in overall controlling real time information of warehousing, improving visibility and efficiency of warehouse management and operation. Because of the warehouse management patterns of most provincial electricity enterprises are similar with that of the system studied in this thesis, the system also has the engineering application and promotion value in warehouse atomization and informationization in electricity enterprises.
