Erbium-doped fiber amplifier as a basic core product in the optical fiber communication network, with the development of optical fiber communication technology has been more and more widely used. Then, the communications equipment manufacturer's testing requirements of erbium-doped fiber amplifier are also getting higher and higher, making the test items of the erbium-doped fiber amplifier become more complex, and the test data increasingly.The traditional testing method is for each indicator components, integrated the required equipment, and then connect all the test devices, set up a right optical path, hand-test the indicators. Testing the next one is to repeat the same steps. That is time consuming and inefficient, has been far to meet the test requirements. Therefore, an accurate and highly efficient Erbium-doped Fiber Amplifier auto-testing platform has become the key technical requirement in the Erbium-doped Fiber Amplifier products manufacturing.Chapter 1 briefly introduced the basic concept of auto-testing system and its development process; Chapter 2 give a general introduction of the fiber amplifier; Chapter 3 describes how the Erbium-doped Fiber Amplifier works, as well as the testing parameters; Chapter 4 describes the system's hardware and software composition in detail; Chapter 5 describes the realization of Erbium-doped Fiber Amplifier's auto-testing system, and carried out error analysis after system testing; Chapter 6 gives the application of manual testing and compared the two kinds experiment results; Chapter 7 summarized.The auto-testing system is user-friendly, full-featured, and easy to operate. After the connected of the devices and optical path, the need for manual intervention is eliminates, saving human consumption and giving the maximum reduction of human error. The system's versatility and scalability is good after the introduction of new software architecture, and it is easy to maintain and upgrade. The system has a high practical value.
