The radar signal processing mainly computes the aliasing signals such as noise in the radar echo signal, filtering the interference signals and extracting useful target signals for processing. With the development of digital signal processing technology in recent years, the technology of DSP can be very efficient for sampling and processing the echo signal.Based on the basic principles of digital signal processing and combined with the project requirements of the port container height detection system, a PC-based MATLAB digital signal processing application program is designed and implemented, which can do digital signal processing to multi-channel ranging radar IF signal and get the parameters of it such as frequency and so on, and converted the parameters to the container heap height data of each channel. After that the paper studies the method of porting the digital signal processing algorithms to the DSP platform, and discusses the curing process in the DSP program.MATLAB digital signal processing systems based on PC platform using MATLAB API application programming interface to get the radar signal sampling data transmitted by USB interface. Then use digital signal processing function provided by the MATLAB Signal Processing Toolbox such as filter design and FFT to process data of each channel and finally get the multi-channel radar echo signal frequency, amplitude, and container height parameters. GUI interface is also designed to set the parameters of the digital signal processing and show the results.The embedded program based on DSP platform refers to the algorithms and simulation results of MATLAB, and studies the method of signal processing by using function of Dsplib libraries, and describes the method of curing the DSP program.The function of the system is flexible and easy to modify because of its modular programming. Combining with the corresponding data acquisition and processing hardware system, The MATLAB signal processing software can be applied not only to the port container pile testing, but also applicable to other digital signal processing applications.
