High pressure water jet target detection technology is a new technology and research direction that the comprehensive high pressure water jet technology and sound signal recognition classification. There will be many noises generated when high pressure water jet impact a target, including the noise of equipment itself, the jet disturbance noise, of cause, including the voice of water jet impacting the target.The target can be distinguished, classified and Located, when the voice of water jet impacting the target was analysed.However, in order to achieve this goal, we must determine some hydraulic parameters about water jet and some parameters of the walk device and signal acquisition device. Including the structure and size of nozzle, jet pressure, target distance, injection angle, the speed of the jet scanning and so on. Therefore, this paper focus on the theoretical and experimental research of the parameters which will influence sound signal, specific studies summarized below:Firstly, theory analysis and numerical analysis, we can understand the influence of the basic parameters and water jet dynamic structure to water jet strike force and the advantage of wavelet transform in sound signal noise reduction processing and RMS extraction. Than this paper chose the nozzle structure that can get a good characteristic value of sound signal, according to the analysis of influence of the different nozzle structures to jet with the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software Fluent, on the basis of previous studies mainly.Secondly, experimental study, we build the experimental platform, design a test method, based on the existing equipment of the laboratory, than make the experimental study of the parameters influence the signal characteristic value respectively. Than determine the reasonable nozzle diameter, jet pressure, target distance, jet incidence angles, scanning speed, and the position of the sensor, according to the compare and analysis of the voice signal, so we can get the good voice signals. Finally, confirm the final parameter combination combining with theoretical study.All in all, this paper made an explorative study of the technique of high pressure water jet detecting target, determined the parameter combination can get the better characteristic value of voice signal preliminarily, which laid a certain theory and experiment foundation for the further research.
