Now is the age of information expansion, the researchers take focus on the sensor technology. It's technology develops by leaps and bounds.A large number of muti-functional sensor use wireless technology to connect and put into market applications, what makes Acquisition of information technology from simplification to diversification. Gradually, formed a wireless sensor network. Wireless sensor network not only has the information comprehensive ability, and the information processing capability is full of ascending space, the technology integrate the microelectronics, embedded, wireless communication and other kinds of technology. Wireless sensor network can realize to monitor area of information monitoring and acquisition and complete the following information processing. The position of wireless sensor network node play a decisive influence in many application of sensor network. This paper introduces the system structure of wireless sensor network and basic characteristics, expounds the trend of the development of wireless sensor network and challenges,Discusses the node location technology at home and abroad and the progress of the study results, make a evaluation and comparison on typical positioning technology from positioning accuracy, communication overhead, network topology, beacon nodes density made, Summarizes the network and node location technology from localization mechanism, localization algorithm classification, positioning performance evaluation standard. On the basis of existing algorithms, this article simulates the classical range-free localization algorithm:DV-Hop localization algorithm.Algorithm involves distance vector routing protocols and flood method. This paper improves the algorithm from the distribution of the beacon nodes. on the constant conditions of the network topology area and node communication radius, analyzes and compares the positioning error of DV-Hop algorithm from beacon nodes quantity and network node number.
