Automobile is a complicated multi-body system, it has many Moving parts and complicated force. Vehicles will be vibrated when it is travelling, due to vehicle's structure and the existence of road roughness. This vibration to achieve a certain degree, the crew will feel uncomfortable and fatigue, or transporting goods will be damaged. Ride comfort is one of the evaluation indicators of motor vehicles . In this paper, in order to evaluated the ride comfort performance of one electric bus, we use ADAMS/View to established the whole vehicle dynamics model including the front suspension system, rear suspension systems, steering systems, tires and body, based on multi-body dynamics theory. The model is simulated and analyzed under pulse inputs and random inputs. And the road test is conducted, the test results and simulation results are compared, and the effect of vehicle ride comfort is analysed. The main contents of the paper is as follows:The research and development on vehicle ride comfort at home and abroad are presented. And the application of virtual prototype technology in automobile dynamics is studyed. The paper also introduces the characteristics ,working principle and the calculation algorithmof the software ADAMS.Front and rear leaf spring models are builded in ADAMS/View. leaf spring models are simulated. The simulation results show us the Characteristic curve of the leaf spring models. The whole vehicle dynamics model including the front suspension system, rear suspension systems, steering systems, tires and body, are eatablished based on leaf spring models. The whole vehicle dynamics model is simulated and analyzed under pulse inputs and random inputs. Acceleration curves and PSD curves of Three-axials are got. The tests ofvehicle are done on pulse and random rode surface. Acceleration curves and PSD curves of Three-axials are alsogot. The road test results and simulation results are compared, The results show that the results of simulation of models has certain inerrancy. But at the same time ,there are some gaps between simulation results and test results. The reasons of those gaps are analysed. At last, disadvantages of this paper are Descripted and future prospect are put forward. In short, this paper analys the ride comfort effects based on the simulation and tests, and provides a foundation for further research structural optimization of electric bus.
