In order to ensure the security of the vehicles and the payment for goods, Logisticscompanies, traditionally, take the2following measures. One is installing GPS navigationpositioning system on the vehicles; the other is installing mechanical lock on the vehicles, andfollowed by the special person to manage the key and the paymen. However, from thepractical situation, the two measures can not cheive the goal. In order to ensure the security ofpayment for goods, in this paper we designed a special system called "GPS electronic lockcontrol cash register"for the logistics truck. As we got the teal-time position information oftrucks from the GPS, it can not be deciphered and replicated, so we can ensure the security ofpayment. In this paper we use the GPS location information as the "soft key" to control the"hard lock" of the cashier box. This system combined with the advantages of GPS satellite positioning technology,GPRS communication technology, electronic password lock and micro controller and otheradvanced technology. Comparing the real-time position data of vehicles obtained by GPS withthat has set by Control center, if the error is in the allowable range and confirmed by Controlcenter, the cash register can be open.First of all, this paper studied the security even analysis of the traditional cashier box oflogistics, leading the Practical significance of the designe of the GPS electronic lock controlcash register for logistics. Then, we introduced the correlation techniques, and the softwareand hardware system. Finally, we tested and analysised of the performance and the index ofthe system. The results show that the cashier box can open at fixed-point, be controled atremote, detect the lock control state and alarm in abnormal condition, unlock in Emergencies, and achieve the corresponding technical indexes.
