In the field of interaction design research, information- interaction design is an important research topic. The existing interaction design research results shows, when the users interact with the product, following some certain mental models (Donald Norman, 1983). In this research, based on the mental models, we analysis the information retrieval behavior using in interaction design, it has a important practical significance. In this study, only focus on information retrieval behavior using in interaction design . Through analyzing the existing model of information retrieval behavior, we proposed a new design model based on three stages as follows, information retrieval stage, information browsing stage and information viewing stage. In different stages, the user's information needs, emotional, as well as interaction of the system is different. We proposed some targeted interactive design requirements from the differences. We choose Wangfang Network Database as a research case, and select two categories with different search experience (experimental group: the web search experience + network database search experience; control group: the web search experience + without network database search experience ), using the questionnaire and Tobbi infrared eye tracker study as the research methods. The questionnaire including, user experience evaluation questionnaire, the dichotomy of importance questionnaire. Through data analysis, building the user experience curve of Wangfang network database , and using the clustering methods analysis the interface elements. The conclusions as follows:①The information retrieval stage including three principal components,14 sub-factors, the three main components: accessibility (64.549%); retrieve entrance (13.811%); information navigation (8.477%), the cumulative contrast up to 86.836%.②The browsing session stage including four principal components, 11 sub-factors, the four main components: system classification (38.820%); personality filter (21.704%); results preview (19.344%); results of operations (11.241%), the cumulative contrast up to 91.109%.③The view stage including four principal components, 12 sub-factors, the four main components are as follows: recommended information (42.126%); related information (22.939%); details of the results (15.504%); results of operations (8.541%),the cumulative contrast up to 89.109%.Througn eye tracker study ,we get the data of eye movement , visual heat map, fixation, and fixation time, analysis the behavior of using network database, as well as the design importance of the 37 factors, combined with the video information. We also analysis user emotional experience changes indifferent retrieval process. In this study, combined with information science, psychology and computer science knowledge into the design field .At last we propose the three-stage information retrival model, and take Wangfang network database as the research cases, it provides a certain value of the development of interaction design.
