With the continuous advances of the modern electronics warfare technologies, the electro-magnetic environment is becoming more complicated, the radar characteristic signals change variously. the requirements of higher tuning speed for the radar reconnaissance receiving systems are demanded more frequently when the systems are dealing with various of information.In the electronic warfare technologies, everyone is pursuing for the fast response, high sensitivity, and extraordinary anti-interference capabilities. The tuning speed of the YIG filters is becoming a serious problem in many applications. In some of the applications, people choose diode varctor to tune the filters.Although the tuning speed of the diode varctor is fast, but the tuning frequency range is narrow, tuning linearity is not good, all these disadvantages limited its applications. Improving the dynamic tuning characteristics (tuning speed) becomes very important.The high tuning speed YIG filter which is studied in this article is a very important components in the RF signal selecting networks. It has the following features:1,Tuning speed is fast;2, broad working frequency range;3, good selectivity;4, high isolation;5, wide 3dB bandwidth;6, stable.It is always applied in radar receivers, within the working frequency range, it can bandpass all the useful external signals, and reject useless signals for systems. In this way it could help protecting the radar receivers and keep the receivers in normal working status. If this project succeeded, it would be a key breakthrough to improve the response speed of the systems. In all the researches, the main works including the following:1, First of all, based on the microwave single crystal ferrite resonators, this article described the characteristics of the single crystal materials, the resonance of the resonator, etc. And the effects of the eddy current, induction and hysteresis to the tuning speed of the filters, as well as digitally controlled theory and its realization.2, the key of this work is the design of high tuning speed YIG bandpass filters and high speed drivers, this article researches and analyzed the basic design theories of the YIG bandpass filters, coupling in broadband, wide working temperature range, laminated magnetic circuit designs, low induction design technologies, design of high speed drivers and its realization. An approximate equivalent model of laminated magnetic circuit is also built, based which the circuit is optimized by using Ansoft simulation softwares.3, The last part of this work is to tune the high tuning speed YIG filter, testing and analyzing whether the filter meets all the required specifications, based on the test results, to improve the design methods in future research and design.
