Passive direction-finding technology based on array antenna has achieved quick development in last half century. And now the technology is extensively applied in both military field and civil filed. Moreover, the estimation of DOA (direction of arrival) is the core technology of passive direction-finding.This essay carried out deep discussion and study on technology of DOA estimation based on passive direction-finding and problems needed to be solved in actual application. And it mainly studied key algorithm of correlation interferometer and spatial spectrum estimation. Below are the main contents of this study:1. Studied on traditional phase interferometer and correlation interferometer direction-finding technology, analyzed the problem of blurring when applying traditional phase interferometer, and find out that applying correlation interferometer can solve the problem.2. Put forward the concept of two-level correlation algorithm based on correlation interferometer direction-finding algorithm, which can largely reduce the time of direction-finding; and put forward curved fitting algorithm targeted at correlation direction-finding data, which can effectively improve the precision of direction-finding.3. Carried out a systematic research on spatial spectrum, discussed and emulated the classic MUSIC algorithm; studied on spatial smoothing algorithm according to coherent signal in actual application.4. Did research on uniform circular array's coherent signal DOA estimation for the spatial smoothing algorithm can only be applied to uniform array, which means creating virtual array to satisfy the condition of spatial smoothing algorithm. Finally, the essay also studied the maximum likelihood method.
