With the development of economy and public security, video surveillance systems are widely used in various industries. On the other hand, H.264 has been accepted as mainstream video compression standard. A multi-channel H.264 decoder is implemented on the Da Vinci processor TMS320DM6467 in the background.In Chapter 1, the significance of the research work is presented together with a brief summary of the present research status. Then, the main research contents of the thesis are introduced.In Chapter 2, the characteristics of H.264 standard and key technologies of H.264 decoder are introduced, including entropy decoding, intra prediction, motion compensation, inverse quantization, and anti-integer transform and loop filtering.In Chapter 3, TI DaVinci development platform is introduced, including the software development platform and the architecture of TMS320DM6467 processor.In Chapter 4, the project requirements of the H.264 multi-channel decoder is presented firstly, and then the architecture of H.264 decoding algorithm is designed according to the key technologies of the multi-channel decoder.In Chapter 5, the research and development of the H.264 decoder is implemented in detail firstly. And then the optimized methods of decoder are given. Compiler options optimization is firstly used.Then the decoder is optimized by analyzing the decoding process and processor features. An effective error concealment algorithm is proposed to improve the video quality.The algorithm adaptively selects proper concealment algorithm by analyzing the senary change information and motion features of neighboring regions.In chapter 6, the experiment result shows that 4-channel H.264 Dl resolution real-time decoding is realized by the proposed algorithm.In the final chapter, the whole research is concluded and the prospect of the future research is proposed.
