MIMO has become the research hotspot in the fields of wireless communications. It has been theoretically and experimentally proved to be right that MIMO which transmits information by antenna array could greatly improve the system capacity and spectrum efficiency in the case of limited bandwidth. MIMO plays an import role in the next generation of wireless communication and has been successfully used in WiMAX and 4G wireless mobile communication system.In this paper, the main research contents are as follows:(1) In this paper, the image method is finally chose to build indoor channel model by comparing the MIMO indoor statistical model, deterministic model and semi deterministic models, and some analysis results of MATLAB software are referenced. At the same time the effects of SNR, antenna number and antenna distance on the MIMO channel capacity are studied. The results show that the image method is correct.(2) The effects of antenna array structure on the channel capacity of MIMO are discussed in simple indoor environments, including antenna array and distance, and d max-limited or S-limited antenna array.(3) The image method program is improved to suit for irregular indoor environments and has high generality. Then considering the indoor space limits, because of antenna's polarization diversity can improve the system capacity as space diversity, polarization channel is adapted to optimist MIMO system. At last, the influence of antenna polarization on system capacity is given.
