The current evolution of Internet usage and the exponential growth of its traffic is driving thefuture of the Internet research initiatives. This research presents a solution for the next-generationInternet that will satisfy the needs .Current network operators are focused mainly on providingand selling network services on top of the network infrastructures they own and manage. The enduser has no control over how these services are provided. However, specific requirements arecoming from emerging applications that request network and computational resources. These newrequirements are difficult to accommodate with the existing telecommunication operationalmodels because telecom companies have full control over the infrastructure. Actually, the mainrationale behind optical network virtualization is the capability to offer infrastructure services toend users by exposing control of the infrastructure to the end users, allowing them themselves toassemble networks. We also present how the"infrastructure as a service"(IaaS) concept brings anew role to infrastructure providers as it allows the deployment of dynamic services in opticalnetworks and the federation of their underlying infrastructures .Therefore, taking into accountthese considerations, a solution is to handle service deployment through a middleware layer. Moreover, it is envisaged that the application of virtualization to optical networks will play animportant role in the coming years.Within the scope of next generation networks , it is crucial to have middleware that providesinfrastructure as a service (IaaS) solutions, which control, manage, maintain, federate, andconfigure virtualized slices of optical networks. A virtualized slice is a set of infrastructureresources that have been segmented and virtualized to be federated together in a virtual networkdomain. This paper describes how the physical layer of optical network equipment and otherresources are made for efficient and rational virtualization, how to achieve moreself-configurationand management of optical network resources to meet the needs of the new distributed network, how to solve the distributed environment (such as grid) on optical network physical layer thevirtualization of resources and resource operation is a central concern in this paper. In order for the optical network can better meet the needs of distributed applications, the paper introduces theWeb Service to achieve the optical network virtualization. Web Service technology ischaracterized by its own agreements and service-oriented features can better meet the distributedapplication. This article describes the Web Service technology, work processes, the role of thevarious protocols and encoding rules, and the characteristics of SOA and finally the use ofmultiple open-source middleware to achieve a good package with the operating functions of thenetwork resources to access the Web Service. The main work of this paper is about network virtualization technology to light a preliminaryexploration, hope can give the future optical network technology research with some help.
