In recent years, wearable computing technology is developing rapidly, such as watch-type computer, etc. has been widely applied in many fields. These devices, with some sensors attached to the human body can constitute one BAN (Body Area Network) network. Started in 2007, the IEEE 802.15.6 Working Group aims to develop the MAC (Media Access Control)/PHY (Physical) layer communications standards for BAN. The human body itself as a transmission medium, also called human body communication. Human body communication has the advantages of low-power, high-speed, high-security, high signal-to-noise ratio, so now it's the most attractived wireless transmission technology. In this paper, the receiver circuit for Human Body Communication is designed, on the basis of careful analysis of the characteristics of Human Body Communication, Zero-IF receiver architecture for Human Body Communication is used. The receiver applies to the capacitive coupling manner of Human Body Communication.which can ensure that the transfer rate of 10Mb/s at 30MHz-120MHz.The proposed receiver circuit structure includes single-end switch to double-end Amplifier, Mixer, Low-pass Filter and high-gain differential Amplifier and the feedback circuit. The three key circuits, single-end switch to double-ende Amplifier, Mixer, and Low-pass Filter are designed and simulated. The mixer uses passive CMOS double-balanced mixer structure. Low-pass Filter uses a fourth-order Butterworth active RC structure, OTA,as the core of the low-pass filter,is carefully designed.
