Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) is a local area network using radio to communicate. Someone can get the information and entertainment from the internet and work in the enterprise network by notebook or smart-phones. The technology of WLAN is getting more and more mature and universal . The application of WLAN also develop rapidly . WLAN is getting into the explosive growth period. The operators start large-scale to build AP . In this Background, this paper mean to research the pattern of building a carrier-class network by WLAN and how to deploy WLAN AP quickly.Firstly, this article introduce the development and operating of WLAN, and analyse the characteristic of distributed network and centralized network. The centralized network has superiority in large-scale networking, AP managed by AC bring about better expandability and controllability. Centralized network is mainstream method. It has three scenarioes: AC below in switchboard, AC hang to BRAS, and AC place in MAN, choosing based on scene and requirement. And,test two of the common scenarioes.The main work of this article is studing design and project of WLAN On the basis of centralized network, draw up standard pattern of design and project in large-scale networking,and then optimize. The steps like these: (1)choose networking method; (2)choose covering method; (3)frequency planning; (4)plan the path of chain; (5)capacity planning; (6)choose equipments and define network structure. Using the steps can make the networking of WLAN faster. Finally, design and project a real case, testing and proving.
