Production process in the sugar industry, how to accurately measure the sugar concentration on-line, has been of concern and look forward to solving the problem.There are a variety of testing methods and testing equipments of sugar concentration, refractometry is a relatively safe and feasible measurement method. On this basis, combine of the optics, computer technology, electronics technology and optoelectronics technology, design a high-precision CCD-based refraction measurement system of sugar concentration, and experimentally verified, this major research work done as follows:Research the detection method of sugar concentration at home and abroad. Through the analysis and comparison of the various methods, determine to use refractometry to do the measurement of sugar concentration, and analyze the feasibility of the detection method. Based on the analysis of the principle of refractometry of sugar concentration, set up an optical system of measuring device, and respectively design lighting and the optical components.By analyzing the existence noise, distortion and other defects of the output image CCD sensor, present a method which based on wavelet transform to reduce image noise, and adopt linear interpolation-based sub-pixel algorithm to improve the CCD resolution, thereby to improve the system accuracy.Adopt ARM7 processor LPC2148FBD to accomplish the hardware design of sugar concentration measurement system, and a use Keil uVision3 to develop a measurement system monitoring software. Through compensated by the temperature correction to eliminate the effects of temperature on the measurement results, to achieve accurate measurement of the concentration of sugar.Overall, the experimental system established in this paper basically reaches the measure standard, it is able to quickly measure the concentration of sugar, and in the permissible error range, but also to the measuring device miniaturization, product-oriented purposes.
