Synthetic Aperture Radar(SAR)is a high-resolution radar imaging system, which utilizes a small aperture antenna to form an equivalent large aperture antenna by signal processing techniques. In order to verify the camouflage effect of the camouflage targets in the electromagnetic environment, a ground-based SAR system is developed in this thesis, and the main contents of this thesis are as follows:1. A Ground SAR imaging system for target camouflage effect verification is designed and implemented. The system works in X-band using stepped frequency continuous waveform to realize high range resolution and using synthetic aperture principle to realize high azimuth resolution.2. The schematic and PCB design of the hardware circuit are completed. All interfaces of the hardware circuit are debugged and verified.3. The radar imaging system can work in two kinds of modes:the pulse frequency stepping mode and continuous-wave frequency stepping mode. The FPGA designs for two work modes are all realized and verified.4. The system debugging and field experiments of the Ground SAR imaging system are completed. The carrier leakage between the transmitting and receiving antennas is tested and compensated. The experiment results of 1-dimensional distance image and 2-dimensional imaging verify the correctness of the whole imaging system.
