The Image Intensifier Is Brightness Gain And Afterglow Test Technology Research

The low light image intensifier which is the core of the night vision devices,is widely used in ray radiation measurement,camera devicedeng,etc.Brightness gain and the twilight time are the important performance indicators of image intensifiers. According to the existing problems of image intensifiers' test, the paper studys the test of brightness gain and twilight time, as well as developing the test system of instrument measurement.First, the paper introduces the test principle of brightness gain and twilight time,and develops the low light image intensifiers' bightness gain test system.Using Windows Visual C++ 2005 platform,the hardware structure of the test system is consist of optical system, mechanical system,afterglow processing module,and computer software test system. The brightness gain test software which includes brightness gain test module and database module, is successfully designed.What's more, the test system can realize the image intensifiers' brightness and intensity of illumination test.On the basis, the afterglow processing module is designed. The processing module uses ARM-STM32 as the core processor.The photocell,AD549,4051 and other chips realize the function of the reception, amplification, handling and storage,etc.A serial port makes the communication between the system and a computer come true.The afterglow test module realizes the twilight time test of image intensifiers.Test has been done among the superⅡgeneration XX2540,Ⅲgeneration 18-18, and many other tubes,by this test system. The analysis of the test result shows that the test system satisfys the military standard very well.
