The Design Technologies And Implementations Of UC Enterprise Communication Directory

Currently there is no international standard for the communication directory function of unifiedcommunications (UC) and the product implementations vary for different vendors. TheConverged Address Book (CAB) and Rich Communication Suite (RCS) techniques underdevelopment by the industry are both operator-oriented standard for the personal communicationdirectory. Hence, it is of significance for industry informationization to research the UC enterprisecommunication directory technique.Based on the author's practice in the major standards research project of Jiangsu Province, thethesis studies the standard and implementation techniques of UC enterprise communicationdirectory with reference to the related international standards.First of all, an overview is given to the research topic background, current research status athome and abraod, and the technical development trends. Then an introduction is provided to twobasic techniques, XML Configuration Access Protocol (XCAP) and Oracle Berkeley DBXML-2.5.16. Following the extraction of the functional requirements of enterprise communicationdirectory, the system architecture is presented with related service interfaces. Detailed discussion isconducted on the design of unified identity authentication system, XML parsing technique, theinformation model of communication directory, the design of key functional modules, interfacesand major service procedures. Finally, an in-depth study is made on such XCAP techniques assearching, updating, access control and security mechanism. And an Android-based prototype isdeveloped and emulated.
