With urbanization process accelerating in China, more and more cities are planning to build their rail transit. Automatic fare collection system (referred as AFC below) as a key component of a city rail transit system, its market requirement is great more and more. AFC operation maintenance management system is an important composing part of AFC system, and is mainly used to manage and maintain one or several lines'automatic fare collection business.The primary work and innovation in this paper is summarized as the followings:1) An architecture pattern of a AFC operation maintenance management system of rail transit line is proposed through analyzing and arranging relevant literatures in home and out home, and combining an actual project. The function requirements and design principles of AFC operation maintenance management system of a line has been researched, and the reference model of each subsystem has been separately designed of the system.2) A five-layer architecture pattern of a station computer system is proposed, therefore, the development and maintenance of the system is simplified, and the system's software reuse rate is increased.3) A station computer system had been implemented, and tests and analysis had been processed for the system.4) A kind of technique to predigest and reconstruct XML is proposed, the conversion process between XML data and binary data is simplified, so as to help the system make the best of the advantage of XML data and binary data.5) WPF techniques is applied to implement the client of station computer system, so that interactive interfaces of human-computer are more artistic and easy to use. Due to separate display elements and behavior elements, so that the client of station computer system is more easy to be implemented and maintained.Parts of the researched results mentioned above described in this paper have been applied in the development process of the AFC system of Beijing Metro Line 8, which passed the laboratory tests and field tests, and will put into application soon.
