Research On Open CNC System Made Of PC And PLC With Wireless Communication Based On Multi-Axes Moved Simultaneously

Numerical control technique is one of the key indexes to weigh a national comprehensive power. The Open CNC System is the main tendency of the development of numerical control technology at the present time. As the automatic technology development included Wireless communication, PC and PLC. the Open CNC System integrated them has important significance to improve the performance.In order to solve the problem of the cables chaos around machine tools, The control platform was constructed with PC, PLC,3-D motion platform and wireless communication module, beside, the wiring layout of system also was designed among hardware.In order to solve the defect existing in present Multi-axis linkage, the method of Multi-axes move simultaneously was applied to realize the CNC interpolation, in addition to. the rational wireless serial port communication protocol for NC process between PC and PLC also was designed according to the demand of Open CNC.The upper computer software for control system was developed based on Visual C++ 6.0, and it was compiled by using module method, which include Multi-axes move simultaneously NC process module, simulation module, process module,3-D motion platform's position control module and so on.The serial port wireless communication module was compiled by using Dynamic Link Library (DLL) technology. In order to met the demand of response quickly which CNC possess, the lad of short scanning period for PLC was designed based on lots of experiments.Both of hardware and software of the CNC was tested, the result testified the system was working as expected.The upper computer software has friendly interface, convenience to use and has fine ability to expanse.
