Avionics Real Time Simulation Platform is the core of Dynamic Simulation & Integration (DSI) laboratory in modern advanced avionics. As the kernel of Real Time Avionics Simulation Platform in last generation, Alpha computer system is widely adopted at present time in domestic market. This software platform was used to play a very important role in avionics development. However, with the development of computer technology, especially with the in-depth research of avionics, many shortcomings of this software platform have been exposed, such as the difficulty of maintenance, bad man- machine efficiency, and insufficient processing capacity. The main purpose of this thesis is to develop a new generation software platform of real-time avionics simulation, meeting the demands of modern avionics system integration and Avionics Operational Flight Program (OFP) development, which include high real-time performance, high stability, high reliability, flexibility, good man- machine efficiency, and convenience for maintenance and upgrade. This new avionics simulation platform can be used to replace the current ones that are based on Alpha computer.In software design, a variety of innovative design methods and technologys were adopted in this project, such as open software architecture design method, health management technology, priority-based preemptive periodic scheduling technology, data sharing between the process data technology, software interface automatic management technology etc, which significantly enhanced the performance of simulation system.Because of the application of Open Architecture Real Time Avionics Simulation Platform, the limitation of previous avionics simulation platform was broken through, and the existing avionics simulation platform was also upgraded. It's the first domestic avionics simulation software platform that is based on embedded real time operating system running environment. The expansibility of avionics real-time simulation software platform is improved greatly by its open software architecture and new design methods. At the same time, this system has very high real-time performance, stability, reliability, supporting rapid maintenance and fast hardware and software upgrade. This real-time simulation software platform has been used in a certain type of airborne avionics system OFP development and avionics system integration. It shows that this software platform has realized the rapid, stable avionics system simulation, it can fully meet the requirement of real-time performance in avionics system simulation, and it has demonstrated its superior performance in all respects. This new generation platform also received highly compliment from user for the good economic and social benefits it brought out. At the same time, sufficient space in real-time aspect was given for fast upgrade capability of software and hardware. It can be further applied in the development of next generation airborne avionics system and in the software upgrade of previous models of the avionics simulation platform, providing a broad application prospect of promotion.
