In order to enhance the monitoring and management of transport vehicles carrying dangerous goods, to ensure the healthy and orderly development of logistics industry of highly dangerous road transport items in the process of social economic development, and to provide technical support and equipment guarantee for the complete emergency mechanism of urgency treatment of dangerous goods transport accidents, a new type of vehicle-mounted monitor terminal with two-way communication function and stable performance needs to be developed.The product design and implementation process are analyzed by means of software engineering in terms of product current situation and study significance, demand analysis, framework design, detailed implementation and experimental test. Firstly, in accordance with the practical situation of China, the significance of developing this product and the product current situation are discussed. Besides, the technology applicable for the product is briefly introduced and the intended product implementation method is analyzed. Secondly, demand analysis is carried out in terms of product practical application. The multiple functions of the product required in the practical application are analyzed with actual cases. Thirdly, the product is analyzed in terms of functional and technical requirements to make out the technical and functional framework required by the product. With regard to framework design, the suggestion of replacing the GPRS technology of the existing products by EDGE technology is proposed so as to achieve higher data transmission rate. Besides, the idea of solving the problem of dead zone of mobile communication with The COMPASS satellite communication system is put forward to expand the product application scope. In addition, the key and difficult points of the product design are also discussed and illustrated. Fourthly, the detailed product design is divided into two parts. In the first place, in accordance with the particularity of this product as vehicle-mounted terminal for dangerous goods transport, the design of power supply is introduced in detail, including hardware circuit design and software programming. In the second place, based on the embedded system development procedures of the operating system, the main software design of the product is analyzed. The entire design is divided into hardware platform design, operating system transplantation and implementation of major task procedures. Hardware platform design refers to the hardware design aiming for setting up parts of major software functions, including the selection of hardware platform and the design of auxiliary circuits. Operating system transplantation refers to the transplantation of uC/OS-II system to the selected hardware platform. The entire transplantation process is illustrated in detail. In addition, the tasks operated on the operating system are also analyzed in the form of flowchart so as to test the controllability and realizability of the tasks. Finally, the experimental test is carried out for the developed product to check whether it meets the design purpose. In the experimental test, the testing procedures of main functions are recorded in detail and the test conclusions about whether the data test function meets the standard are given so as to assess and test product realizability on the whole.To be applied on the vehicles for dangerous goods transport, the product is designed under the guiding principle of product safety and function reliability. Based on the real-time operating system for the task management, the product strictly guarantees the instantaneity of each function, thus guaranteeing the product performance on the whole. The test results have proven that compared with GPRS products, EDGE products are more superior and reliable in performance and that compared with products with single communication channel, the products added with The COMPASS satellite communication system are more significant in product coverage areas.
