The digital microwave communication, compared with the traditional cable communications, has so many advantages, just like low cost for building and high reliability of information transmission,and they have received domestic attention in recent decades.With social development and technological advance, error correction coding theories are extensively used in the current digital communications, digital broadcasting and data storage system. The technical constitution cascade code consists of RS code, convolution code and interweaves code. Error correction coding theories are applied in the digital microwave communication.The plan which the principle and realize of the code will be introduced as well as matlab simulation realization will be provided in detail in this dissertation.Digital communication system's RS and Convolutional code to the related technology will be studied. The RS code which is away from the characteristics to be good and the high coding efficiency can be used in realizing the decoding algorithm by the hardware circuit, and has good anti-arises suddenly characteristics and so on. It also will be widely used in a variety of errors and control programs inside. In this dissertation, the RS coding and decoding algorithms based on the implementation progress of related technologies and their applications will be intertwined with convolutional code, interweaves code, and simulation using Matlab implementation at home and abroad in recent years. The error correction capability and efficiency are improved . Extensive and important applications have been used in the cascade model code from space, until the military field communications, digital CD-ROM, and other civilian areas.The basic principle of digital communication system and channel coding theorem is introduced in the beginning of the dissertation. The basic concept of channel coding, classification and development is introduced in detail. Then the overall design of digital mircrowave communication system framework is described briefly. After that the following types of digital mircrwave communication system which are often used in several common coding, focusing on the analysis which described RS codes, convolutional, interleaving algorithm for encoding and decoding are introduced. The simulation results are acquired in this dissertation based on RS, convolution and interleaving encoding and decoding principles and detailed discussion of algorithm analysis. The kind of encoding and decoding cascade design proposal based on the digital microwave communication system is presented in the end of the dissertation. Also, encoder and decoder of RS code and the convolution code have been come to implementation in the FPGA.
