MCU has being used to control the electronic jacquard for labs and fashion ribbons in many domestic factories, with the increasing plants'demanding for greater speed and effectiveness, the control system based on MCU has hardly met the requirement. So, an embedded design based on LPC1765 belonging to the ARM Cortex-M3 series has been proposed in this paper which includes the design of hardware circuit and software.Based on analyzing the working principle and development status of electronic webbing loom and its control system, this paper proposes a new design by analyzing and comparing several system design schemes. According to requirements of webbing loom several function modules has been designed using LPC1765 as follows:(1) USB interface module: The flash disk to input the pattern design is realized by designing USB interface, which improves the input speed, provides convenience to store and transmit big pattern files.(2) Real-time information storage module: The function of power-off protection is achieved with the added Ferroelectric Nonvolatile RAM which can improve the reliability of the control system.(3) Pattern information storage module: A piece of flash memory is added to store pattern data.(4) Pattern data transmission interface: Serial data transmission mode is adopted.(5) Human-machine interface: Including keyboard and LCD display.The program of this system has been developed by Keil ARM in the integrated development environment of KeilĪ¼Vision4, including main program of control system, program design of files management system and function modules. Through software design and hardware circuit a series of functions have been achieved including parameters set up, pattern information's processing, system test and so on. As a result of the field debugging and test, the movement of the textile Jacquard is brief and accurate by using the control system, which is of better characteristics in working.
