Digital video surveillance system can record a live video and store substantial information with high accuracy. It is the effective means that companies achieve dynamic monitoring of the production process, process control, accident alarm, accident review and information recording.With the development and maturity of the network communications technology and digital image processing technology, video surveillance system goes into intelligent and distributive direction. When the video signals of the production site are sent to the processing center through the network, combined with digital image processing technology, the system can monitor the live video images in the real time, to analyze and judge whether there is an abnormity. If there is one, it will output alarm information or process it on its own, to achieve unmanned intellectual video surveillance system.This project describes the wireless video surveillance system design for Wuxing Quarry, which includes the wireless monitoring for the dynamic monitoring point, the wired monitoring for the static monitoring point and the environmental monitoring for the material storage area.The thesis first introduces the background and development orientation of video surveillance systems, and then analyzes the knowledge of the system involved--the video signal acquisition, the encoding and decoding technology, the real-time network transmission technology, the moving target identification, the sensor technology, the lightning prevention technology and the GPRS technology. The third part describes the overall structure and the composition and functions of the various parts for the wireless video surveillance system applied to the quarry, stating the performance parameters and technical indicators of the mainly-selected equipment in detail. The last chapter summarizes the main contents of this paper and the imperfect parts of the system, and makes the prospects for its further perfection.
