College Teaching Management System Based On B / S Mode Design And Realization

The number of students is becoming larger and larger as the scale of the school is increasingly expanding. This leads to the tightness of the teaching resources, innumerable management tasks on teaching affairs and much more difficulty in dealing with management problems. In order to streamline the system, it is imperative that the way of managing teaching affairs should be reformed, which will play an important role in deepening reform of education and teaching. Therefore, it is essential to build a teaching management system based on a smart-client structure.This system adopts .NET development platform, Visual Studio 2005 development environment and Microsoft SQL Server 2005 database technology. It also uses C# development language to finish the interface design for the Login Modules, User Management Modules, Teachers'Information Management Modules. This system is trying to implement the good features of cross-platform and good portability, which is compatible with the automation of teaching management.This article firstly analyses the status quo of teaching management system, and raise its own structuring methods. Then, it introduces the basic concept and main features of the smart client. It also compares the smart client with traditional fat and thin client. Then, it briefly elaborates several main technologies for implementing the smart client. In addition, it deeply studies the methods for implementing main technologies, which are applied for developing .NET platform-based application programs of Windows smart client such as dealing with data collision, deploying and updating the program, and occasional connection. Besides from practical situation of high school's teaching management and user's needs, it discusses the functional modules design of teaching system and the design of database in detail. At last, it raises the problems in the system and some improvement suggestions of the work to be done.
