Transformer is one of the most important electrical equipments in the power system and closely related to the development of the national economy. Oil-immersed transformer with simple technology and good stability is widely used in many areas. With the increasing fierce competition in market, Enterprises always try to reduce the production cost, improve its quality and shorten the development cycle. Having experienced more than half a century's development, transformer production has already formed a seriation, which provides the condition for its secondary development. So it is necessary to develop the special CAD for this area.This paper mainly aims at the study and research of oil-immersed transformer's parametric design system. According to the transformer's similarity and seriation, in object-oriented programming environment combining with the platform of AutoCAD, the paper developed the parametric design system to increase transformer the computer-aided design level. The paper firstly studied the theory of AutoCAD secondary development including its concept, principle and then through some models analyzed three feature design method and parametric design based on feature..On the basis of theoretical analysis, programed the oil-immersed transformer parametric design system and realized the auxiliary partial function of the system. According to the feature of transformer design, planned the system database, established the basic geometrical figure library. Finally, a core's parametric design example showed the method of realizing system function.
