In recent years, with the development of offshore oil and gas resources in deepening, the offshore platform's safety and reliability is increasingly attracted attention. Offshore platform working in the harsh marine environment and subject to various loads produces significant, sustained vibration, mostly low-frequency vibration. Offshore platform is a kind of low-frequency structure, and of all the solutions to determine their injuries the low-frequency vibration inspection is an effective means.In this paper, the wireless low-frequency vibration inspection system based on WSN (Wireless Sensor Networks) and offshore platform inspection technology has been developed.Firstly, the offshore platform inspection technology and the wireless sensor networks was introduced, and then by analyzing the offshore platform's vibration characteristics, a conclution was obtained that offshore platform is a kind of low-frequency structure. Based on the above theory the low-frequency accelerometer used for the wireless low-frequency vibration inspection system was analyzed and selected.Secondly, the wireless low-frequency vibration inspection system's overall architecture, the hardware/software design of wireless sensor nodes and wireless data collection center were described in detail. Wireless communication network use star design, have one data collection center and several wireless sensor nodes. Wireless nodes formed by the sensor interface, microprocessor, memory, wireless module, real-time clock, and power management unit, is used to complete the vibration data collection, preliminary analysis, data caching, and data wireless transmit. Wireless data collection center is constituted of wireless module, serial server, computer and embedded intelligent acquisition software, which is used to complete the wireless node's parameter setting, data acquisition,real-time display, storage, and export data for post-processing.Finally, some tests were carried out to detect the reliability and low-frequency characteristics of the designed wireless low-frequency vibration inspection system. The test results show that the wireless low-frequency vibration inspection system has the characteristics of good low frequency performance, high resolution and reliability, no line and fast placement. Thus it can be applied to the vibration inspection of offshore platform compatibly with good prospects.
