This subject is from the application of Shanghai University Research Foundation which is used to select and train Outstanding Young Teachers "Vocational College<Software Testing> Teaching Research" in September 2008 (Grant No. ld08002)To create a teaching law case library which is fitting for cognitive development and the ability level of students in vocational colleges, and to explore better and faster new ways for achieving the curriculum reform, it was studied and discussed systematically in terms of theory and practice from the case of teaching software testing curriculum in vocational colleges in this paper. Firstly, it was described that the research status of case teaching, and then using some domestic and foreign research findings of case teaching in recent years for reference, and the educational theories, which will affect the teaching model, was summarized and explored.Based on those, combining with the teaching characteristics of software testing, the author has tried to design teaching case database management system, and the basic functions, logical structure and running applications were introduced. At the same time, through classroom experiments, surveys, interviews and other means, we have verified the feasibility and effectiveness of the common problems, and clarify our points of view on the problems and difficulties which universally exist in the practice, and provided the corresponding theory and practice to vocational colleges in order to improve and perfect the "Software Testing" Case Teaching base.
