With development in technology and living standards improving, the People have become increasingly demanding on the media player functions, especially for high-definition video. The traditional player with standard definition video can not meet people's needs, while the people's attention to high-definition video and electronic products has gradually deepened. This must require not only a powerful video processing chip, control and computing power, but also its rich and efficient with system resources and can reduce development cycles, rapid market entry. Therefore, high-performance digital media processor was born by the TI's DaVinci technology-based. It has ARM DSP dual-core structure, simplifying overall system design complexity, and its powerful control and computing functions meet the requirements of the development of high-definition video.TI TMS320DM6467 came out in early 2008 for a high-definition video product with DaVinci technology digital media processor. It is based on DSP for SoC and has an integrated ARM926EJ-S core and a C64x DSP core, and two programmable high-definition video co-processor engine. Especially it has a very high performance in the implementation and processing H.264HP @ L4 of the multi-format high-definition video codec. ARM926EJ-S core has a maximum clock with frequency 297MHz and it can load Windows CE and Linux operating systems. There is multi-process, multi-task management and scheduling, memory allocation, control and call work of external storage devices; C64x DSP core works at frequency 594MHz clock and it is mainly used in complex aspects of video and audio processing algorithms.The thesis described the hardware design of high definition hard disk recorder and player based on TMS320DM6467, including memory modules, input and output video module, Ethernet module, infrared remote control module working principle and circuit design.Finally there is a brief description about the hardware system PCB design.
