Research And Realization Of Knowledge Base Of Museum Based On Ontology

Recently, the ontology was widely used in the field of artificial intelligence, knowledge engineering, semantic net and so on. A mass of projects and products based on ontology were sprung up. The architecture realized by the technique and concept of ontology could not only clearly describe the concepts and relationships in the domain knowledge base(DKB), but also realize the reusing and sharing of domain knowledge. This is good for the maintenance and management of DKB. Therefore, building the knowledge base by ontology has become a current hotspot.Comparing with massive research results of other fields, the one of heritage and museum still has a large gap in researching ontology. The domestic work of this is still in its infancy. So the paper brings the concept of ontology into this field. After introduced the status of ontology application, the paper analyzed and researched the related theoretical basis of knowledge management system, then discussed the realization process of the system in the field museum DKB, including related techniques and tools. After the modeling work, the concepts and there attributes were modeled, the semantics were described and the knowledge ontology of museum field described by OWL was obtained and stored in relational data base. Then the paper designed the system of museum knowledge base based on B/S architecture and realized the utilizing of the knowledge. Last, the paper concluded the realizing processed and the problems exist in it, and proposed working focus and research field in the future.The knowledge base management system of museum based ontology built in the paper has profound meanings to the management of museum domain knowledge management and the sharing and reusing of knowledge.
