Television programs is an integral part in people's life, with the improvement of the quality of people's lives and life-style changes, as well as the rapid development of electronic technology, the traditional TV can no longer meet persons' current requirements. In order to meet the timely needs of watching television, portable mobile multimedia broadcasting has enormous room for development.In October 24,2006, The State Administration of Radio Film and Television of China (SARFT) promulgated China Mobile Multimedia Broadcasting (commonly known as mobile TV) industry standard to determine using independent research of China's mobile multimedia broadcasting industry standards. Features such as portable, convenient and delicate of mobile TV, and was supported to service the Olympic Games, that making a lot of manufacturers are beginning to research and design CMMB.In the context of such an environment, the development of embedded systems for CMMB mobile TV has become necessary. Embedded microprocessor is the core in embedded system. In this system, after a certain amount of comparative and analysis, chosen MC9328MXL of the freescale company as the processor core in this embedded systems, which is a processor of ARM920T core; in the signal receiver part, system use IF101 receive chip, which is invented by Innofidei and is the first chip to support the CMMB standard; in the operating system, choose the widely used Linux system as a development platform.In this paper, it mainly expatiate the software design of CMMB mobile TV signal receive system based on MC9328MXL after design the hardware structure. The software includes device drivers and system application program. According to the system functions, the program can be classified system control module and data receiver module.In order to achieve system function, focusing on the I2C bus protocol which used to control system and the SPI bus protocol which used to receive data signal, there are other system-related design, such as GPIO module design. Through a combination of software and hardware design, achieving a signal receiving system design.Finally, by debugging and testing the system, the system can receive television signals and the data can be broadcasted in the terminal, so the system meets requirements of the CMMB mobile TV.
