Fuzzy multiple attribute decision making (FMADM) theory and methods have been developed for more than 40 years and have become an important branch of decision-making theory, which are widely used in many fields, such as economic management, financial investment, project evaluation, military decision-making and so on. Today, it is still a hotspot of decision-making theory research. Although many achievements have been attained in FMDAM theory and application, there are some problems to be sloved. So, based on the previous research work, further research on FMADM theory and methods is carried out in this thesis. The main work of the thesis is illustrated as follows:(1) Overview on fuzzy multi-attribute decision-making approachThe current research on FMADM methods based on interval number, vague set and linguistic variables is reviewed. Meanwhile, some problems and future research directions on FMADM are also proposed.(2) Hybrid multi-attribute decision making based on vague setsa. The qualitative and quantitative indicator values are proposed to be transformed into vague values in order to resolve the practical problems in hybrid multi-attribute decision making.b. A model of hybrid multi-objective decision making based on vague sets is put forward.c. The model is solved by TOPSIS with an improved comprehensive evaluation index, by which the meaning of"which is closest to PIS (Positive Ideal Solution) and farthest from NIS (Negative Ideal Solution)"is expressed. And the concrete steps of hybrid multi-attribute decision making on vague sets are given.d. The proposed method is applied to resolve practical problems, the results show that the method is rational and feasible.(3) Fuzzy multi-attribute decision making based on three-parameter i-v (interval-value) Vague setsa. Three-parameter i-v Vague set is introduced to make up for the shortage of the original Vague set in expressing fuzzy information, namely, the true and the false membership are all expressed by three-parameter interval value and the method of finding core of three-parameter interval number is proposed.b. A model of fuzzy multi-attribute decision making based on three-parameter i-v vague sets is put forward.c. The model is solved by the method in which gray relational analysis and TOPSIS are combined, and then select the alternative which is nearest to the PIS and has the most similar trend to the PIS as the optimal solution.d. The proposed method is applied to shceme selection of risk investment and hiring of enterprise and the results prove the method is effective.
