Fingerprint-based authentication is becoming more and more important in recent years, eye biometric technology one. Human identity through fingerprints has been in existence for hundreds of years, but the accuracy of fingerprint identification has been greatly recognized. In fact, the fingerprint identification technology is very common, and even fingerprint biometrics has become almost synonymous. It is believed that each individual's fingerprint is different, even if the same individual, his fingerprint is different. Even twins have similar DNA, their fingerprints and certainly different. Thus, the automatic fingerprint recognition not only among civilians, but also in law enforcement was more widely used.In order to obtain accurate fingerprint image information, a reliable and effective fingerprint enhancement algorithm becomes essential. Fingerprint recognition technology has matured in the development process, many domestic and foreign working on image processing and pattern recognition experts and scholars have put forward a number of fingerprint image enhancement technologies, to the classic Gabor and Fourier algorithm FFT algorithm development out of the typical enhancements.In this paper we have a deep research in fingerprint image enhancement algorithm. FFT-based and Gabor proposed fingerprint image enhancement algorithm, and analyze advantages and disadvantages of the algorithm. Compared the previous feature extraction in fingerprint used in a variety of methods, and classification. Used in this article described in detail based on binary image of the fingerprint feature extraction process, procedures and algorithms, and analyzes the results of this method, summed up the advantages and disadvantages. And apply it to the attendance check system, experiments show that our fingerprint feature extraction algorithm can significantly improve the efficiency of time and attendance system.
