The mainstream algorithms and technologies on developing the medical imaging 3D reconstruction and visualization system mainly use the interactive display technology are reviewed in this paper. Research of the medical imaging 3D reconstruction and visualization is a hot spot that the application of computer science in the medical field. Development of the medical imaging 3D reconstruction and visualization system is a proess to render and interactive the graph and image which from the calculation process by the image processing techniques and computer graphics. The first research is the data that to process in the system, which is the DICOM image and data model of visualization. The DICOM is the special format for medical image. The second research is the process. The key links of the medical imaging 3D reconstruction and visualization are analysed. The keys include image I/O, medical image pretreatment, interpolation, segmentation, model construction and rendering and so on. On the base of well-considered algorithms, Various of algorithms are integrated in the system, about the pretreatment for the 2D image, the visualization for the 3D image by the Marching Cubes and Ray Casting in the rendering. The application of the VTK- Visualization Toolkit and ITK- Insight Segmentation and Registration Toolkit is studied. Multi-library technique is studied and practiced in the system based on VTK and ITK, which improved efficiency of the development system. The visualization for the 3D image realization makes it more application value. |
