The Design Of Vehicle-mounted DVR System Based On Linux

An embedded multimedia storage system based on Linux is designed in this paper. It can be used in monitoring of certain fields as well as storage and management of monitored data.First, the paper introduces the system's practical application prospect and development status both home and abroad. It gives a detailed analysis on the technical features about the H.264 along with its key technology. After that, the concept and configuration of cross compilation environment is introduced to set up the cross compilation environment that needed in the paper, and the advantages, disadvantages and usage coverage of the main file system are also studied. All these lays a theoretical foundation for the design of embedded multimedia storage system.Second, the system platform (GM8180) used in vehicle-mounted DVR system and its overall structure, and various storage devices for data storage are introduced. Then the driving principle and design about the video collection chip TW2835 are analysed. After that, a detailed video sampling, compression module are designed for the previous process of video data.After that, aiming at video storage module, it analyses the embedded multimedia storage system SD card driver and makes relevant modification, along with an analysis of inspection and standardized operation required by the SD card in this system. At the same time it gives out the method to realize organization and management of video files in video storage module .Finally, according to the practical use of embedded storage system, a searching scheme for the video data in SD card is designed to realize search and playback of previous video data.
