With the high speed development of social economy and technology standards,large tunnels,nuclear power, irrigation, mining, dam construction and a series of major projects become possible and necessary. Many projects are builded in the complex geological conditions,such as the mountains and the sea areas, a variety of prediction and prevention of geological disasters are often the key to project success.In the various types of geological disasters, the rock deformation is a kind of harmful,high cost of remediation of geological hazards.It is a big problem has been plagued engineer.Therefore, to identify regional and detailed engineering geological conditions of construction sites and their changes is particularly important.The borehole camera monitoring system integrates the borehole camera technology, robotics,video transmission technology and image processing technology in one,using the panoramic camera technology to collect real-time changes of driling hole,using screw-driven approach to drive the operation of the robot,using optical fiber transmission technology to transmit Images,high reliability and stability,without signal attenuation.This paper describes the working principle of panoramic camera technology in detail, analyses the various parts of the panoramic camera system,and determine the various parameters of the panoramic camera system.After analysising and comparing various drive of the robot,analyze the stress of the robot.The paper also carried on the overall analysis and design of the robot's control system.The robot system is small, not only be free to monitor the deformation of rock,but also make up a variety of the shortcomings of traditional sensor, which is difficult to install and maintain with high cost,realizing the automation of drilling monitoring operations, intelligence, miniaturization, high reliability, and low cost,make people intuitivly understand overall engineering geology and increase safety and reliability of various geological engineering.
