Ocean ambient noise (OAN) is one of the most important acoustic characteristics of ocean. With the development of modern military requirements and Marine business needs, the research and the momentum of development of application of Ocean ambient noise will become more quickly. So needs to gather OAN data to better understanding the ocean information.This paper designed and realized an OAN acquisition system (OANAS), which can be laid by way of potential target. Multiple OANAS working at the same time use synchronized work mode, can achieve space multi-point synchronous acquisition the sound field. The OANAS can pick up sound pressure and shake velocity signal in the sound field by vector hydrophones. And sampling the output signal after a pretreatment,so the resulting data stored in the potential target.Firstly, a system design scheme of OANAS has been provided based on the operational marine environment. Secondly, a hardware system of OANAS is designed according to the work characters of potential targets and the requirements of data acquisition system. OANAS chooses TI's TMS320VC5509A with low power consumption as CPU. The main storage is CF card, which is compatible with data storage of 16G. Then designed and drew the circuit diagram and producted the circuit board that based on the technical indicators of OANAS. Thirdly, a software system of OANAS is designed. And schemed out the FAT32 file system, which can display the noise data stored on the CF card. Finally, this paper gives some discussions on the performance of OANAS and some instanses of sea experiment. The results from sea experiment show that this OANAS satisfies the demand and can collect OAN exactly. So this OANAS can be applied to underwater acoustic research field.
