Design And Implementation About Semi-physical Simulation System Platform For Ship Motion Based On VxWorks

To solve the problems of the expansibility and the real-time performance in which exist in the semi-physical simulation system for ship motion, VxWorks is used which is currently popular in the embedded real-time operating system as its operating system platform. And this paper designs the new data collection system of ship motion, the new emulator controller of ship motion and the new network communication system across platform on the basis of the original system. The main content of this paper is for the system.Firstly, the paper introduced the method of building the VxWorks system development's environment specifically for target machine PC/104. It included the analysis of the starting process for VxWorks, the design of the VxWorks BSP specifically for target machine PC/104, the cutting of the VxWorks operating system and the establishment of development environment for VxWorks, etc. Finally, it constructed the development environment successfully about target machine and host machine based on the network of loading operating system image file, using the CF card as the leading storage media.Secondly, the paper introduced the composition of semi-physical simulation system in the mass and the realization methods of every component's functions. Then the paper introduced the hardware design method of the two subsystem:the data collection system of ship motion and the emulator controller of ship motion, including the main function and the structure of the system, PC/104 embedded computer platforms, electronic compass, stepping motor and driving technology, etc. Finally, the paper introduced the software design method of the two subsystem:the data collection system of ship motion and the emulator controller of ship motion, including the serial driver design, the touch screen driver programming, the data collection application design and the motor control application design, etc. And the paper introduced the designed way of the network communication system across the platform between VxWorks and Windows.It also gived the basic structure and the program structure flow chart of network communication.Lastly, the paper introduced the function test of the data collection system of ship motion and the emulator controller of ship motion, and it also introduced the overall test of the simulation system on account of sailing direction control. The paper also gived out the analysis to the test result, and it gived out the suggestion for the improvement. The test result showed that the new semi-physical simulation system for ship motion had solved the various problems which existed in the original system. The establishment of the simulation system can not only quicken the exploitation of the related product, but also reduce cost and save manpower and material resources. So it has important scientific research and practical value.
