Research And Development Of Networking DNC Processing Platform

With the development of information technology and computer technology, manufacturing moves in the direction towards networking, automation and intelligence gradually. Networked Manufacturing platform holds some functions such as process planning, machine control, equipment control and DNC network control. It can be solved through integrated management of some NC machine tools that some problems in the most of Chinese enterprises such as low efficiency of NC machine tools, low efficiency of manufacture, high fielding errors of manufacture, which have theoretical value and valuable significance.This paper has researched network mode of DNC and control software. Firstly, composite commucication mode which holds CAN field bus and wireless communication as the major component and industrial Ethernet as the auxiliary component is used as the main commucication mode of DNC, which is established with the present situation of the Chinese enterprises and characteristics of various commucication modes. Secondly, the system model is three separate levels (Corporation Level, Workshop Level and Equipment level) which is the most suitable model to Chinese enterprises, and then enterprise information can be integrated. Hardware of intellect protocol converter and software plug-in are used to solve the problem that networking protocol is different. Then the networking DNC processing platform with multiprotocol can be built. Thirdly, Borland C++ builder6.0 is used as development tool and Microsoft SQL Server 2000 is used as the database, then the platform hold some functions like manufacturing management, network programming, information transfer and real-time control is established. Lastly, the functions of DNC processing platform are proved through experiment of connection and information transmission, and software interface is optimized, which makes the DNC platform hold some advantages like high safety factor, easy control, intuitionistic information output, and friendly human-computer interface. The establishment of the networking DNC processing platform with composite commucication mode is the need of production automation in modernized enterprises, which is the guidance to CIMS with wireless commucication mode. Machine tools utilization rate and production efficiency are increased and cost is reduced.
