Nowadays, with the rapid development of network, network television (i.e. IPTV) has been widely used. The performance of traditional C/S mode Video-on-Demand system would drop dramatically with thousands of users. The fully distributed network structure is poor in self-organization and not conducive to statistical and authorization. Therefore, the hybrid P2P Video-on-Demand system has its unique advantages.Discussing research and implementation on storage management based on P2P IPTV system (BeeZone). The structure and communication of BeeZone system are introduced. Mainly researched on the structure of the client module, caching strategies and distributed security store. The next generation of Internet P2P IPTV system (BeeZone) were introduced, highlights the client module. The sub-modules of P2P module and the communication between them have been studied to achieve play on IPv4/IPv6 protocol.According to the characteristics of P2P VOD sharing system, a global timer has been set to implement the resource discovery algorithm based on round-trip delay. Each of the tasks is distributed to the nodes in better network condition. Memory cache and disk cache are both used in client module, and asynchronous file reading and writing are used to improve system efficiency. The demand of file integrity is much higher in VOD system than live-broadcast system. Hence, in order to prevent error propagation, a 64-tree based 3-layer encryption algorithm is developed, in which files are segmented and encrypted, and file stubs are authenticated to ensure the consistency of source node and VOD files.
