With the continuous development of information warfare, electronic warfare become an important aspect of war. The moving platform of microwave anechoic chamber is mainly used to simulate the movement of a variety of electronic warfare target in space environment. It is confidential, reliable, convenient and inexpensive. The mechanical structure, control systems, software and communications system design are introduced in this paper and experiment is carried out to examine the system indicators.In the mechanical structure, mute rail and rubber wheel are used to reduce the vibration and achieve the smooth running of single unit. Timing belt is used to avoid the skid phenomenon, instead of using traditional ways in which the wheels scroll on the rail depend on friction. To avoid long-distance position error caused by step motion of the stepper motor, servo motor and optical encoder used in this system, which can achieve closed-loop control to replace the stepper motor drive in open-loop control.The control system adopts typical distributed control method. IPC as the host computer manages all equipment of the system. DSP-based controllers receive the host computer instruction and complete the assigned function, meanwhile feedback the status of single unit to the host computer time to time. The IPC's multi-tasking capabilities and reliable high-speed control features of DSP controller are given full play. Multi-level security mechanisms are used to prevent the trajectory of single unit beyond rail and collision of two unites.Software design includes the design of PC control software and DSP control software. The host computer software which is based on C + + language can realize real-time dynamic operation of the system and display single unit status, meanwhile it was user-friendly, feature rich, easy to operate. The design of DSP controller software mainly includes switch control, D / A, A / D, serial communications and PID control. Communication which is based on RS422 serial communication protocol and optical transmission could ensure reliable high-speed signal and improved electromagnetic compatibility.
